All experts listed in this register have:

• undertaken formal expert witness training with Bond Solon
• been assessed and quality assured by Cardiff University
• committed to completing 6 hours of expert witness continuing professional development every 2 years

Why has the National Register been developed?

Bond Solon understands the challenges instructing parties face when they are looking to source an appropriate expert witness.
Instructing parties need to be certain that the expert they select is not only suitably qualified and experienced in their field of expertise, but also they must understand their duties to the court, and possess the requisite skills and knowledge in order to successfully fulfil the role of the expert witness.

By accessing our register, instructing parties can be confident in the knowledge that any expert they select has been formally trained by Bond Solon, and assessed and deemed competent to act as an expert witness by Cardiff University.

Holders of the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Certificate have demonstrated they possess:

• a thorough understanding of relevant law and procedure specific to their role as an expert undertaking civil, criminal or amily work
• the ability to produce court compliant reports
• the skills in presenting effective oral evidence under cross-examination
