The Speaker:

Jeffrey Wilson - JunHe

Jeffrey specialises in labour law and has almost two decades of experience assisting multinational corporations with labour and corporate law matters in the China region. 

After developing a background in PRC corporate law and mergers and acquisitions (M&As), Jeffrey has focused exclusively on PRC labour law since 2006. He advises multinational corporations on labour issues relating to corporate restructuring and M&As. He represents clients regarding reductions in force and employee transfer issues, and draft and review numerous employment contracts and employee manuals. Jeffrey also advises clients on stock option, data privacy and employee benefit issues, as well as issues relating to the employment of foreign nationals in China. 

Jeffrey assists the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai to prepare position papers for submission to National People’s Congress and State Council regarding the Labor Contract Law, Implementing Regulations to Labor Contract Law, Employment Promotion Law, and Social Insurance Law. 

He is a key individual for JunHe Law offices, which provides employment services out of six offices in the PRC. The full-service team is particularly noted for handling employment matters for foreign invested enterprises. It acts on layoffs, non-competition agreements, employee transfer and labour disputes, and also handles HR-related matters such as creating and negotiating both individual and collective labour contracts, drafting employee manuals and preparing company policy and regulations.
