The Speaker:
Yumiko Ohta - Orrick
Yumiko Ohta is a Partner in Orrick's Tokyo office and a member of the firm’s employment law group. Ms Ohta specialises mainly in employment law advice as well as corporate transactions including compliance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, litigation and general corporate transactions.
Ms Ohta graduated from the University of Tokyo and is a member of the Dai-ichi Tokyo Bar Association and the Tokyo Summary Court Civil Affairs Conciliation Board. She also serves as Vice- Chair of Human Resource Management in the American Chamber of Commerce (ACCJ).
Ms Ohta has been recognised as 'Up and Coming' in Chambers Asia-Pacific for Employment Law: International Japan (2019) and as a 'Next Generation Lawyer' in Legal 500 Asia-Pacific for Labour and Employment Law: International, Japan (2019).
