Course Outline:
Expert witnesses who process personal data as part of their work, either as a sole practitioner or as part of an organisation, have a mandatory requirement to be compliant with UK GDPR.
The GDPR carries a principle of accountability. This means an expert must both comply with GDPR and be able to demonstrate compliance. Policies need to be put into place and implemented to demonstrate this compliance. Consequences for non-compliance may include solicitors refusing to instruct an expert, heavy fines and significant reputational damage.
This product will help you understand how the GDPR regulations applies to you as an expert witness and gives you the tools needed to comply with GDPR.
