Course Outline:
This condensed course is designed for those who may have internal investigation responsibility, but for whom conducting investigations is not their main role e.g. line managers, some HR professionals. For more in depth training and accreditation, please see the Advanced Professional Certificate in Investigative Practice.
Using grievance and disciplinary scenarios, this course covers the core principals of collecting evidence, interviewing and writing statements or reports; helping ensure that investigations are impartial, transparent, and legally compliant.

- Be able to distinguish between different types of evidence and their reliability, credibility and weight
- Planning and conducting effective investigative interviews
- Evaluate evidence and produce reports or statements which logically derive from the facts and clearly articulate any recommendations or conclusions
