Safeguarding Children and Adults at Risk of Harm (L3-5)

Course Outline:

With increasing public awareness and concern, it is important that professionals are equipped both to understand and deal with issues of Safeguarding facing children and adults at risk of harm.

This course looks at the historical perspective and identifies both the general principles applying to all members of vulnerable groups, and the specific requirements for working safely with a particular group.

Delegates will explore the statutory framework, as well as the provisions and resources in place to deal with all aspects of safeguarding, including minimising the risk of inappropriate behaviour.

On this practical, structured Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults training course, delegates will look at inquiry recommendations, the need for effective communication, and inter-agency working.
