Mastering the Role of a Best Interest Assessor
Delegates attending our BIA qualification and BIA centred training courses learn how to work lawfully within the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA), the Mental Health Act 1983 (MHA), the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS, MCA 2005), and their respective codes of practice, and the Human Rights Act 1998 (HRH).
Our qualification led by a lawyer-trainer and a highly experienced BIA, offers a robust foundation in legal literacy, as well as best practice in practical application.
Our legal update courses are designed to ensure that BIAs have the most up-to-date knowledge, skills, and competence to correctly interpret and apply legislation and guidance to best practice standards.
Attending our signatory course will give participants the practical skills and knowledge to effectively assess and manage DoLS applications, ensuring compliance with the Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding the rights of individuals.
