Related Sector: Health & Social Care

We are proud to announce that following a rigorous judging process involving a wide panel of judges from across the healthcare sector, Ensuring Safeguarding is Core Business throughout the NHS, the partnership made up of Bond Solon, Capita and NHS England and NHS Improvement were chosen as winners of the Project Procurement of the Year category at the HSJ Partnership Awards on 24 March 2022, in recognition of their innovative and collaborative partnerships with the NHS over the past 12 months, in a challenging time in healthcare.

The partnership aims to instil the core knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, to align and reinforce the attitude to safeguarding, ensuring that it is not seen as ‘additional’ work, but paramount to protecting the most vulnerable in society. Broadly, the partnership set the following goals:

  • Embed Safeguarding across the NHS.
  • Align the culture, ethos and attitude to make safeguarding core-business.
  • Protect NHS organisations against possible consequences of getting it wrong, including, regulatory, reputational damage and/or litigation.

On receiving this accolade, Zak McNally, Director of Health and Social care at Bond Solon comments, “We are thrilled and excited to have been chosen as the winners in the Project Procurement of the Year category amongst our peers and colleagues in the same industry. This award proves to be a stamp of approval for all the hard work that the team carries out daily and the impact that our project has made and continues to make in the healthcare sector. We are sure that the award will help in continually delivering and improving our services and boost our reputation in the industry.

Dave West, Health Service Journal’s Deputy Editor congratulated the teams on their successful win, “This year’s entrants displayed a varied range of projects and partnerships, all working together to benefit the nation’s healthcare sector. The winners were chosen after considerable deliberation on many success factors, but primarily on the innovativeness and commitment to healthcare. On this occasion, I congratulate the winners for their hard work and workmanship, and I look forward to learning the future of their projects, now with the added accolade from the HSJ family.”
